I've been preparing for this my entire life. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, I spent a lot of time modifying PC games. I used to make objects and textures to change the look of elements in games; things like vehicles, people and scenery. Conveniently, the experience has transferred directly into 3D modeling and rendering. The processes are very similar. Even now, I spend a lot of my free time rendering for fun, but these days, my focus is more on photorealism than computer games.
